Bobby-wan (also known simply as Bobby, or alternatively as Bobby-waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa......aan).

History

Bobby was introduced to 88bitmusic via a recommendation from X33N around New Years 2019. He was immediately entranced by Trevor Gomes's whimsy, ability, and charm. After hearing a rendition of "O Holy Night," the spell fell deeply upon him, and he has been trapped here ever since.

He originally created his twitch account for the specific purpose of chatting in this channel, after lurking for several months.

Co-host of the Upcoming WanandWurmShow, along with Wurmfist.

Personality

Bobby is known for his social awkwardness and tendency to say strange things at inopportune moments. In addition, he is distinguished by his overuse of BitB and his often obscure nerd references. He is part of "The Morning Group" on the 88bitmusic Discord server.

Channel "achievements"

  • Obtaining the unique trait of having a username which Trevor Gomes has never pronounced correctly.
  • Having said mispronunciation become something of a recurring gag.
  • Creating the name Gloomlord.
  • Winning a round of Quiplash.
  • Creating the first "proper" page on the 88bitwiki: MAJA.
  • Providing the source material for !monyed command:
    • "How many yeres they will prolonge the sentence with cavillacions & suttelte, if they be well monyed on both parties."-(Tyndale, The Obedience of a Christen Man, 1520).
  • Receiving a personalized name command:
    • 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000[1]

Trivia

His username is a bad pun on "Obi-wan" from the Star Wars universe. It is therefore properly properly pronounced Bobby-wan as in the word "wan" not as if it rhymed with "ran."

However, he has learned to embrace his Waaaaaaaaaniness, and so takes no issue with others (Trevor Gomes) altering the vowel sound.

  1. Said command was created accidentally when Trevor Gomes typed the wrong command while "allotting" channel points.
